BASSETERRE, St Kitts (CUOPM) -- The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force has received equipment to enable it to assist in resolving gun crimes speedily.
Police spokesman, Inspector Cromwell Henry said the law enforcement agency has received a microscope from the Ministry of National Security.
Comparison microscopeHe said officers in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will be able to use the “microscope to conduct comparative analyses on bullets and empty cartridges used in the commission of gun crimes thereby improving the Force’s capability to solve such crimes.”
Inspector Henry said that the three new Daihatsu jeeps from the Ministry of National Security have been deployed to the out stations to assist them in improving their crime fighting operations and service to the various communities.
“The vehicles and microscope are part of the Ministry’s commitment to provide the Police Force with the necessary tools and equipment to execute the strategies to reduce crime in the Federation,” said Henry, who also expressed the Commissioner’s deep appreciation and commitment in the fight against crime and violence.
